I believe theatre that understands the local community and can find clever ways to communicate bold ideas truly has the the power to transform, heal, inspire. My goal as an artist is to create work that not only looks beautiful, but also resonates with the viewer on a deeper level.
I strive to create a sense of intimacy on stage and with the audience, where we can feel the magic of our presence together in space and time. I lean into movement and corporeal storytelling and am not afraid of silence. That said, I more often work on Musicals or productions with heightened text like Shakespeare or Noel Coward, and delight in that too.
I coach actors in person and virtually that are in production, auditioning, or applying for undergraduate or graduate programs. My studio is fully equipped with cameras, lighting, backdrops, a baby grand and other instruments for putting actors on tape for submissions. I often teach workshops and collegiate courses.
My studio is in the East Village at 14th Street and Avenue B.
